About the event
These are challenging times, anxious times. Due to the health measures in place around physical distancing because of COVID-19, I am offering virtual forest therapy experiences to support mental health for those who cannot gather in person or for people outside of the Edmonton region. For these sessions, participants will join a Zoom call and have options as to how to participate:
- from home, watching the live video feed (I'll be in the forest)
- from home, interacting with natural elements (houseplants, garden, balcony, etc. if available)
- from a park or natural setting (ideal, if you're able)
These shorter versions of forest therapy are a great introduction to the practice (in-person walks are 2-3h depending on weather) and a unique and accessible way to feel more relaxed. For more information on the benefits of forest therapy, please visit the "Why Try FT?" page of this website.
Looking forward to seeing you on Zoom! (anyone who RSVPs to the event will receive a Zoom link via email)
I am charging a reduced fee for these sessions to support community mental health. Please email me if you would like to participate but find the cost prohibitive.
There is a minimum group size of two for this session to run.
