Virtual Forest Therapy Walk
Treat yourself to a contemplative stroll in the woods (from your home or a park near you)!
Time & Location
May 18, 2020, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
About the event
These are challenging times, anxious times. Due to the health measures in place around physical distancing because of COVID-19, I am beginning to offer virtual forest therapy experiences to support mental health while we cannot gather in person. For these sessions, participants will join a Zoom call and have options as to how to participate:
- from home, watching the live video feed (I'll be in the forest)
- from home, interacting with natural elements (houseplants, garden, balcony, etc. if available)
- from a park or natural setting (ideal, if you're able)
These shorter versions of forest therapy are a great introduction to the practice (outdoor walks are 2-3h depending on weather) and a unique and accessible way to feel more relaxed. For more information on the benefits of forest therapy, please visit the "Why Try FT?" page of this website.
Looking forward to seeing you on Zoom! (anyone who RSVPs to the event will receive a Zoom link via email)
I am accepting donations for these sessions and waiving my usual guiding fees to support community mental health. Please email me if you would like to make a donation to help offset my costs.
